Downtown Goshen group wins approval for First Friday street and parking closures

The board approved the amendment and then voted unanimously to authorize the street and parking closures.
The representative said the group wanted the Main Street closure from noon until 11 p.m. and that several on-street parking spaces would be held from midafternoon to 11 p.m. The board had no public objections and approved the motion after a board member moved and another seconded. The action was recorded as passed unanimously; the representative and board members noted that event coordination with other city departments would continue.
