Superintendent gives roof and waterproofing update; final bid estimate pending

Superintendent Mark Branko updated the committee on roof and waterproofing work at the middle‑high school, saying a contractor (Tremco) completed masonry sealant work and an earlier waterproofing job that cost "just over $5,000" and included a 10‑year warranty. Branko said Tremco conducted moisture‑analysis testing and identified further concerns — chimney flashing, a skylight at the front entry, and junctions where two roofs meet — that require additional work and a town‑level bidding process.
Branko said the district is awaiting Tremco’s final report and cost estimate, which town hall is expected to receive imminently; after that, town hall will put the job out to bid and schedule repairs with the district’s maintenance team. He noted the eventual contracted roof repair will include a 20‑year warranty; in the meantime staff are using buckets and temporary fixes to manage leaks.
