District staff briefed the Rockport School Committee on the format and timing of the state''s MCAS and accountability reports, but said the data remain embargoed until the state release on Sept. 24.
The presenter told members that accountability combines two measures: a percentile rank comparing the district to similar K''12 schools and a progress-toward-target score comparing the district to its own targets. "Accountability data is currently embargoed, and we're not allowed to discuss it publicly," the presenter said, warning that early figures are preliminary and could change before the official release. The presenter also said subgroup reporting generally requires at least 20 students to release disaggregated data.
