Superintendent highlights summer school, new Medical Career Club and plans to stream board meetings; staff and students recognized

At its May 5 meeting the superintendent announced summer school July 20–Aug. 13, the launch of a Medical Career Club led by Ms. Stephanie Malik, a plan to begin streaming board meetings in the fall, and reported donations to athletics and music; Penny Whipple was named Staff Member of the Month and Central Elementary spelling bee winners were honored.
During the Superintendent's Report the district announced summer school will run July 20 through August 13 to provide credit recovery and academic support. The superintendent also introduced a newly established Medical Career Club led by Ms. Stephanie Malik to help students explore medical career pathways.
The superintendent said the district will allocate resources to begin quality streaming of board meetings starting in the fall to increase public access. The meeting minutes also record donations to the district: Suder Storage donated $250 to the baseball program and Mason Music Boosters donated $1,500 for stage lights. In recognition items, the board honored Penny Whipple as Staff Member of the Month and celebrated Central Elementary spelling bee winners Jayce Fink, Rayleigh Kilbourne, Carson Ellerbrock and Rylie Anteau.
