The Rio Vista ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously on Jan. 20 to revise the 2024–25 district calendar. "I make a motion to approve the calendar revisions: March 7, 2025 to a non-instructional day and March 28, 2025 to a Staff Development/Non Instructional Day as recommended," Trustee Cathy Smith said; Trustee Matt Gilbert seconded the motion, which passed 7–0.
Board members did not record additional debate on instructional hours or makeup days in the public transcript. The calendar change takes effect for the current school year as presented at the meeting.
