The City Commission unanimously approved a revised major development plan for Cold Link Apopka on Aug. 5 after staff and the applicant answered questions about building size, truck access and required road improvements. Planning staff said the corrected total building area is 168,600 square feet (an increase from the previously reported 147,624 sq. ft.), and that only one or two additional parking spaces were needed to meet code.
Commissioners and public speakers raised concerns about semitruck queuing and the short stretch of Mayflower Avenue that serves the site. The applicant committed to reconstructing Mayflower to city standards and to traffic mitigation measures, and staff confirmed that the traffic‑impact analysis will be updated during construction‑drawing review. Following discussion, the commission moved and approved the revised MDP.
