Policy Committee removes Policy 6.100 from revisions, forwards remaining second- and first-reading policies to full board
Summary
The Policy Committee recommended that the full board consider a set of policy revisions and removed Policy 6.100 from the proposed second-reading packet; the committee also forwarded a large set of first-reading policies (6.319–6.712) with a clerical correction to the full board.
Kevin Powers, chair of the Policy Committee, reviewed the proposed policy review calendar and presented second-reading revisions for policies in the 6.100–6.318 range. Committee members discussed notation differences in the packet and whether formal action was required to adopt the review calendar.
During the second-reading review the committee moved to remove Item 5A (Policy 6.100) from the packet; the motion to remove Policy 6.100 and to recommend the remaining second-reading policy revisions to the full board carried unanimously. The committee also voted to forward the first-reading policies (6.319–6.712) with a clerical correction to Policy 6.319 (change "or" to "of" on Page 1 Line 23). The actions were recommendations to the full board and did not enact policy changes at the committee level.
