Separately during the meeting the board approved updated salary schedules for 2025–26 that reflect the HB2 (89th Legislature) Teacher Retention Allotment. The motion by Amy Casas to approve the salary schedules passed 7-0. Board materials show the adopted budget’s General Fund expenditures exceed projected General Fund revenues by $991,849.00 (Expenditures $20,707,400.00 minus Revenues $19,715,551.00), as reflected in the formal budget adoption language presented to trustees.
