Council reappoints Associate Municipal Judge Maria Ornelas to two-year term

After returning from executive session, the council unanimously reappointed Associate Municipal Judge Maria Ornelas to a term running 12/31/2025 through 12/31/2027 and approved an employment agreement.
Following executive session on personnel matters, the Weatherford City Council returned to open session and voted to reappoint Associate Municipal Judge Maria Ornelas.
Councilmember Heidi Wilder moved "to approve the reappointment of associate municipal judge, Maria Ornelas, for the term 12/31/2025 through 12/31/2027 and to approve the associate municipal judge employment agreement." The motion was seconded and carried unanimously.
Council thanked Judge Ornelas for her service; staff will finalize the employment agreement and associated documentation.
