The board approved a facade grant to Main Street Partners to help convert 311 North Main into office space for Baird Hampton & Brown (BHB). Ashley Seiler told the board the developer anticipates about $800,000 in total improvements to the property and that the facade portion is expected to cost $178,434; Main Street Partners requested $84,217, and staff recommended approval.
Seiler also said BHB "currently employ[s] 22 people locally and plan[s] to grow to 25 employees by the end of 2025," with a longer-term goal of up to 30 staff at the new location. After brief questions to confirm eligible expenses and that work had not already been completed, the board moved to approve the request.
