Hasbrouck Heights board approves Prologis soil-movement permit for 611 Route 46

The Hasbrouck Heights Land Use Board voted unanimously on Sept. 4 to approve a major soil movement permit for Prologis at 611 Route 46, allowing the import of approximately 36,000 cubic yards of soil to support a previously approved warehouse project.
Christopher Murphy, Esq., represented the applicant. Ryan McDermott, civil engineer with Dynamic Engineering, told the board the applicant is not seeking any changes to the previously approved plan for grading, drainage, utilities or stormwater design, and that the project already holds a DEP Flood Hazard permit. McDermott also stated that the applicant "stipulated to compliance to all codes," per the transcript.
The board heard that materials on site will be crushed and reused elsewhere on the site and that the 36,000 figure accounts for soil removal, topsoil removal and unsuitable fill. There were no members of the public recorded in favor or in opposition. A motion to approve the soil movement application was offered by Al Cupo and seconded by Marlene Verrastro; roll call recorded unanimous yes votes and the application was approved.
