Staff (S2) told the board that staff and a colleague had completed and submitted all NCBA agricultural growth zone grant applications for seven projects previously approved by the board. "Mark and I have been working really hard over the last month...to put together all of the NCBA agricultural growth zone grant applications," the staff member said.
Staff said the state will review the submissions in the coming month and, if the state approves them, staff will return to the commissioners to request the required matches so projects can proceed to due diligence and closings. "We'll be back to the commissioners probably in February," the staff member said, describing the expected sequence of state approval followed by local match requests.
