Clerk Dawn Bauer reported to the board that the Certified Payments program residents use to pay sewer bills does not supply payer-identifying information to the district's Premier Bank deposits, complicating monthly reconciliation. "There is no information (name/invoice/address) that comes with the amounts from Certified Payments website to our Premier Bank, so it is nearly impossible to match up the deposits with the payments made," the minutes record.
Commissioners suggested looking for an alternative online payment vendor and asked what system "Heather at the Village" uses for online payments. The minutes do not record further technical details (for example, whether Certified Payments offers exportable reports or merchant-level remittance files) or a decision about a next step or vendor to trial.
