Royse City ISD recognizes 24 students, honors principals and spotlights Baley Middle School

The Royse City ISD Board spent part of its Oct. 6 meeting on recognitions and a campus spotlight. RCHS Principal Scott Merry recognized 24 students for College Board National Recognitions. Dr. Lorie Squalls, Chief Academic Officer, recognized campus principals in honor of Principal Recognition Month.
Baley Middle School Principal Dr. Tim Benson and his team shared a campus spotlight video showcasing programming and campus heritage; board member Bobby Summers remarked he wished Ouida Baley could have been present and praised the spotlight. Several board members used their comment time to thank principals and staff: Jessica Ratterree said, "That is such a huge job, and I'm just SO proud of them and the role models they are for our kids," and Cindi Jobe said, "It's a big deal." The recognitions and spotlight were presented as information items; no board action was required.
