The Hillsboro Community Unit School District #3 Board of Education met in special session May 21, 2026, at the Hillsboro Unit Office. Board President Matt Lentz called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.; board members present were Matt Lentz, Brian Patton, Bill Christian, Blake Furness, Kassie Greenwood, Mike Cerutti and Nathan Kirby.
At 4:35 p.m., Nathan Kirby moved and Kassie Greenwood seconded a motion to move into executive session “for the purpose of considering the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees.” The minutes record that the board returned to open session at 6:16 p.m.; both motions were adopted by voice vote. The special meeting was adjourned at 6:17 p.m. by a motion from Nathan Kirby, seconded by Kassie Greenwood. The minutes were signed by Matt Mathery Lentz, President, and Kassie Greenwood, Secretary, dated June 9, 2026.
