San Elizario ISD holds budget workshop, aims to adopt 2025–26 budget June 18

The San Elizario Independent School District Board of Trustees on June 11 received Budget Workshop #2 for the 2025–26 fiscal year from Ms. Elizabeth Perez and Ms. Gina Ramirez and discussed funds disbursement ahead of a planned budget adoption vote on June 18, 2025. Board members asked questions about allocations and sought clarifications to inform the final budget vote.
Board members referenced several large line items that will affect the district’s budget, including food service and vendor contracts listed on the consent agenda: Labatt Food Service ($1,400,000), County of El Paso ($427,613), GH Dairy ($145,000), LEAF Capital Funding LLC ($92,000) and Tyler Technologies, Inc. ($42,824.41). The presenters provided a handout and invited trustees to review recommended disbursements before the June 18 meeting. The board will reconvene June 18 at 5:30 p.m. to consider adopting the 2025–26 budget.
