Trustees adopt ordinance vacating alley near Argo property

Mayor Tony Pezze presented an ordinance to vacate an alley adjacent to the Argo property and asked for a motion to approve. Trustee Dees moved to approve the ordinance and Trustee Paso seconded; the trustees voted all ayes to adopt the measure. Trustee Broccardo noted he had paid for the related work and discussion included Hanlon's remark about potentially buying the lot back if the village decided to sell.
The board did not expand on a sale at the meeting beyond the ordinance action; staff will record the ordinance and proceed with any required notifications and recording to effect the vacation.
