Aleksandar Kondovski, the district's School Business Administrator, told the board the ESEA grant was approved and that staff must submit carryover figures to the New Jersey Department of Education. He said the district will follow NJDOE direction on carryover accounting.
Kondovski also reported that seven prospective insurance companies issued "decline to quote" letters because of high loss claims, leaving the district with no viable private-market health-insurance quotes and necessitating continued membership in the New Jersey State Health Benefits Program. The report was delivered as part of the Business Administrator's report to the board.
