Councilwoman Sessa briefed the board on Recreation Committee programming and outreach during the March 23 workshop. She listed several events: a sledding fundraiser at Marlboro Elementary, the Shamrock Stroll restaurant crawl, the Easter Egg Dash at the Hudson Valley Sports Dome on April 4, the Spring Fling fundraiser on April 15 at Brix to fund flower plantings, the Memorial Day Parade in Milton on May 24, and a summer concert series starting in July. The Marketing Committee is recruiting members and will organize a tentative Restaurant Week in mid-May.
CAC Chair Mici Simonofsky reported the county has secured consulting support from the Hudson Valley Regional Council to help prepare Climate Smart Communities certification documentation. She said the EV charger transformer is in place and final wiring is imminent but flagged the need for lighting and signage at the site for safety. On public programming, she said, "We will be meeting at the Falco Trail for a short nature hike to enjoy the budding trees and the beauty of nature on Saturday, April 25 from 11-12." The board took these reports as informational; no formal board action was recorded beyond committee recruitment and event scheduling.
