Supervisor reports Milton waterfront progress, cruise ship season and EV charger progress

Supervisor Corcoran updated the board on multiple town infrastructure and events initiatives during the March 23 workshop. He said projects along the east side of the tracks at the Milton waterfront are moving forward and thanked Tilcon for donating item 4 material to be used on the CSX crossing.
Corcoran reported: "There are about 36-38 cruise ships booked this year, starting in June." He also said Central Hudson has installed the transformer for the EV charging station and that final wiring would be completed within weeks; he raised concerns about safety lighting near the charger and said he would compare options to determine the most cost-effective solution.
Corcoran added that he is interviewing candidates for the Budget Officer appointment, describing three strong candidates and saying he will seek input from the Town Board before making the appointment. The board did not take formal action on any of these updates at the workshop.
