Marlborough celebrates Memorial Day; Recreation Committee announces summer concerts

The Recreation Committee and the Viebey-Sutton Post 124 American Legion, together with the Town Highway Department, organized a large Memorial Day Parade with nearly 40 participating organizations and more than 60 vehicles, Recreation Committee Chair Arlette Zambito reported at the May 27 workshop. Supervisor Corcoran said the town added 28 new Hometown Heroes banners this year, bringing the program total to 170.
The Recreation Committee held a Spring Fling fundraiser to support flowers planted around town and announced a summer concert series with openings and headliners plus food and dessert trucks on July 11, July 18, July 25 and August 1. "There were almost 40 organizations and over 60 vehicles that participated and they hope to grow in the future," Arlette Zambito said. Council members commended organizers for the parade and the town's floral and banner efforts.
