Board approves FFA overnight trips and IGA with SCI Center for CTE participation
Summary
The board approved overnight travel for FFA events and an intergovernmental agreement allowing 18 high school students to participate in SCI Center CTE programs this fall; both motions passed 7–0.
FFA President Delaney Adams requested board approval for several overnight trips to attend the FFA State Convention, FFA Leadership Camp and the National FFA Convention. A motion by Nathan Kirby, seconded by Kassie Greenwood approved the overnight trips on a 7–0 roll-call vote.
The board also approved an intergovernmental agreement with the SCI Center that will allow district high school students to continue CTE program participation; Superintendent McBrain reported that 18 students have already signed up for courses in the coming fall semester. The IGA motion, made by Nathan Kirby and seconded by Kassie Greenwood, passed 7–0.
