Following executive session on personnel and litigation, the Hillsboro Community Unit School District #3 board approved several personnel actions on April 14.
Motion by Nathan Kirby, seconded by Kassie Greenwood to employ Mason Garner, Carla Bolton and Ariel Ozee as special education teachers passed by roll call 7-0. The board then voted 7-0 to employ Rachel Hanners, Lauren Jackson and Michelle Smith as teaching assistants, and to employ Son Clayton as custodian. The board accepted resignations from licensed teachers Kayley Nimmo and Levi Siebert effective at the conclusion of the school year (voice vote; motion carried).
The minutes record the hires and resignations but do not provide contract terms, salary amounts or reasons for the resignations. The personnel actions follow a closed session deliberation and were reflected in subsequent open-session motions.
