San Isidro ISD board adopts safety compliance and Guardian Program resolutions

The San Isidro ISD Board of Trustees approved two separate resolutions related to campus safety and the district Guardian Program. Trustees passed the Resolution concerning compliance with certain public-school safety and security requirements (motion by Trustee Cecilia Garza, seconded by Trustee Aisha Reyes) and subsequently approved the San Isidro ISD Guardian Program Board Resolution (motion by Board President David Garza, seconded by Trustee Cecilia Garza). Both motions passed with six yea votes; Trustee Ricardo Vela was absent.
During discussion, trustees reviewed the texts of the resolutions attached to the agenda. Superintendent Elsa V. Morris presented the safety items and confirmed the materials were included with the meeting packet. After the closed-session follow-up, the Board also approved corrective safety and security items discussed in closed session, recording the motion as passed upon reconvening.
