The Village approved two infrastructure-related purchases on Jan. 12: trustees authorized soliciting a bid from FS to buy two 500-gallon fuel tanks and approved up to $1,500 to replace worn street-sweeper brushes.
Trustee Dees moved to solicit FS for two 500-gallon tanks and said the purchase would draw on the general fund, lake fund and police department allocations; Trustee Watson seconded and the motion passed. Mayor Tony Pezze said vendors indicated delivery and installation were feasible for the planned location and that the tanks must meet state procurement and safety requirements.
Public-works staff CJ Vacker reported the street-sweeper main broom costs $624.57 and each gutter broom is $169.53; trustees authorized spending up to $1,500 for replacements, with Trustee Broccardo noting the amount should not exceed the stated limit. "As long as Bev says we have the money," Broccardo said as the board confirmed funding availability for the purchase.
Trustees also discussed not committing to further investments in one previously owned vac truck; the board recorded the purchases and directed staff to proceed with procurement steps.
