Board approves park kitchen fan upgrade; discusses new park-fee schedule and insurance requirements

Watson seconded; roll call recorded Kip—No; Kristie—Yes; Sue—Yes; Louis—Yes; Gina—Yes; Jason—Yes, and the motion passed.
Broccardo described three fan/upgrade price points (approximately $2,327; $2,542; and $3,260.31) and emphasized that the $3,260.31 option included parts, labor and balancing. "The thirty-two-hundred-dollar fan seems to be the best one. The thirty-two hundred- sixty dollars and thirty-one cents," Broccardo said. Trustees approved payment for the $60 service call and the fan purchase.
Separately, Trustee Paso outlined a draft park-fee schedule the finance committee is developing: pavilion rental $25, restroom add-on $25, kitchen rental $75/day, and a deposit structure (historically $250). Beverly and Jaeger noted that prior events increased power bills (Beverly cited a $145 increase in power for three kitchen days in 2024) and said the village may need to require additional insurance (special-event riders) for rentals. Trustees asked staff to obtain cleaning estimates and to review insurance and liability coverages before finalizing the fee schedule.
