Comal County approves grant application, architecture contract, asphalt bid and 911 budget; names EAA representative

On June 11, Comal County Commissioners approved several administrative and procurement items. Staff requested and received court approval to submit the FY2025 State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP) grant application to the Bureau of Justice Assistance to help offset costs associated with incarcerating undocumented individuals who meet the program's conviction and length‑of‑stay criteria.
The court also approved a corrected architectural engineering services agreement with Park Hill after staff explained the original meeting packet attached the wrong document. Commissioners awarded bid 20261105 for cationic emulsified asphalt CSS‑1H to Ergon Asphalt and Emulsions based on the official bid tabulation, approved the fiscal year 2027 Bear Metro 9‑1‑1 budget, and appointed Doug Miller as Comal County's representative to the Edwards Aquifer Authority South Central Texas Water Advisory Committee (SCATWAC).
