Gordon County approves routine contracts, a public‑works task order and a finance policy update

At its July 21 session the Gordon County Board of Commissioners approved several routine procurement and policy items. The board declared certain Sheriff's Office items surplus and approved the Tax Assessors' renewal agreement with Schneider Geospatial, LLC for the qPublic portal at an annual cost of $18,295 to be charged to GL Account 416‑531604. The E9‑1‑1 office's Virtual Academy subscription with Savant Learning Systems, Inc. (dba Virtual Academy) for $1,265 was approved to be budgeted to GL Account 445‑531604.
Public Works' request to approve Task Order #5 with EXP Services, Inc. for Soda Creek — not to exceed $37,500 and budgeted to GL Account 431‑521230 — was approved. The board also voted 5‑0 to amend subsection III(F) of Section VI of the County Financial Policies to incorporate a Credit Card Policy. Each motion was presented by Chair M.L. "Bud" Owens and approved following motions and seconds by commissioners, with unanimous votes recorded in the minutes.
