The Seguin Independent School District Board of Trustees held a special meeting on March 27, 2025, in the board room at 1221 E. Kingsbury. The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Mrs. Denise Crettenden; the board then entered closed session at 6:33 p.m. for consultation with legal counsel and to discuss superintendent-related personnel matters under Texas Government Code §§551.071 and 551.074.
After reconvening in open session at 7:38 p.m., the board recorded two formal actions: acceptance of a superintendent retirement agreement (approved 6–1) and selection of the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) to lead the superintendent search (approved 6–1). The meeting was adjourned at 7:40 p.m. by motion of Mr. Joshua Bright, seconded by Mr. William Dwyer. The minutes list district staff in attendance including the superintendent and chief officers but show no public speakers during the audience-with-the-board period.
