Commission approves three July 15 bid awards including I‑29 surface treatment

Sam Weisgram, Office of Project Development, presented the July 15 bid letting results to the Commission and recommended award of three bids: a structure and approach grading project in Hand County to Anderson Contractors, Inc. ($618,471.13); a high friction surface treatment at I‑29 Exit 164 to BX Civil & Construction, Inc. ($999,298.66); and various asphalt seal projects to Fahrner Asphalt Sealers, LLC ($580,011.79). Commissioner Don Roby moved and Commissioner Ron Rosenboom seconded approval of the three bids; all present voted aye and the motion carried.
The awards were approved as recommended; Commissioners did not discuss additional conditions or attachments for the awards during the July 23 meeting. Staff will proceed with contract execution and scheduling consistent with Department procedures.
