The Select Board on July 20 agreed to remove a dead tree affecting the town’s internet system on property owned by board member Ken McInerney. Mark Phelps made the motion; Jason Jayko seconded and the board approved the work. Road Commissioner Keith Lacasse told the board he could perform the removal for around $1,000 no earlier than the end of next week.
Keith also said he will remove two dying trees near the Town Hall before any gazebo installation and that he will contact a property owner about trimming or removing trees intruding on the dirt portion of Roys Road after a tree fall knocked out power at the north end of the road.
