Valley Green Phase 3 cleared to supervisors pending mailbox and minor contingencies

The Hempfield Township Planning Commission voted 6-0 on July 1 to move Valley Green Phase 3 to the Board of Supervisors pending resolution of final contingencies.
Christopher Hamm said two rounds of comments between township and the developer have been addressed; MAWC and DEP paperwork is complete. Sidewalks will be provided along the south side of Valley Green Road to the Phase 3 entrance. The final open contingency concerns the cluster mailbox location: township staff and the developer will continue discussion with the post office and other stakeholders to determine the safest site.
The supervisors will consider the plan once the developer completes the outstanding contingency items and submits final signatures and approvals.
