Trustees approve construction GMPs and multiple procurement awards for facilities and technology

At the Feb. 18 meeting the Southwest ISD Board of Trustees approved several construction and procurement items tied to capital projects and technology. Trustees approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for package 2 of the Elm Creek Elementary renovation project (as amended), GMP package 2 for the Southwest Elementary renovation, and GMP package 1 for additions and renovations at Southwest Legacy High School. Each motion passed by unanimous vote after being moved and seconded by trustees.
The Board also awarded multiple professional services and procurement contracts, including RFP 2425-111 for a refrigerated box truck, RFQ 2425-115 for civil engineering services, RFQ 2425-116 for geotechnical and construction materials testing, RFP 2425-118 for a kitchen serving line replacement at Sky Harbour Elementary, and E-Rate 28 procurements for wide area network services, network hardware, wireless hardware and Aruba Central (RFPs 2425-110, 2425-107, 2425-108, 2425-109).
