The Southwest Independent School District Board of Trustees approved a broad consent agenda Feb. 18 that included several student overnight trips and multiple vendor awards and renewals. Trustee James Gonzalez moved to approve the consent agenda and Trustee Daniel Carrillo seconded; all members present voted in favor and the motion carried.
Items in the consent package included Southwest High School overnight trips to Dallas, Galveston, Pensacola (NJROTC), Houston, Stephenville, Canyon and College Station, and a tennis trip to the Pflugerville Connally Invitational. The consent agenda also included awards and contract renewals such as RFP 2425-112 (kitchen equipment), the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program award, the LATCHED Support memorandum of understanding for 2024–25, and approval of the 2025–26 CAST STEM High School calendar. The motion was recorded as unanimous; no individual dissent was recorded in the minutes.
