Kenilworth board approves design contracts and façade grant by omnibus vote

The resolutions authorize a professional services agreement with Ciorba Group of Chicago for $85,052.50 to design water-main replacements on Abingdon Avenue, Robsart Road and Tudor Place, an agreement with Gewalt Hamilton Associates of Vernon Hills for $66,500 to design the Oxford Road reconstruction project, and an as-needed tree and shrub services agreement with Advanced Tree Care, Inc. The Board also approved a façade improvement grant for work at 400–408 Green Bay Road and 503–509 Park Drive; staff confirmed the Architectural Review Board had approved the façade work.
Resident Bob Delaney asked for clarification on the façade grant; Assistant to the Village Manager Heather McFarland explained the program would fund enhancements to exterior lighting and that ARC approval had been obtained. The omnibus package passed on a 6–0 roll call vote.
