Kenilworth beach opening delayed to July as contractors cite weather setbacks

"He highlighted that the challenges faced by construction vendors due to inclement weather have pushed the project’s completion date from early June to July 1, 2026," Cottick said during the presentation. President Kaz emphasized the need to balance community enthusiasm for the new beach facilities with safety for beachgoers and said the board and staff will aim to present options that allow some use if safe.
The board did not take action on the beach schedule; staff will return with draft opening plans and any operational or staffing implications once options are developed.
