Marlborough board recognizes Pride Month, approves flag at Town Hall

At the June 9 meeting Supervisor Corcoran said the board would recognize Pride Month and proposed that the Pride flag be hung by the Police Department. Councilman Cauchi moved and Councilman Zambito seconded a motion "to hang the flag and recognize the LGBTQ community." The motion carried 5–0 and the audience applauded.
Supervisor Corcoran noted the flag could be hung after the meeting since supporters were present in the audience. The minutes record no dissenting discussion and no further policy direction about regular flag protocol, and there is no record in the minutes of a written policy change.
