Housing Director Hannelore Dysinger told commissioners that a lead-abatement project she bid out received no timely contractor proposals and that one contractor submitted a late cost proposal. She said the late response and the contractor’s availability prompted staff to consider whether to revise bid specifications and rebid. "I did not receive any proposals back," Dysinger said, noting that program guidelines do not specify how many times a project must be rebid.
Dysinger also reported two additional full-rehab projects funded by the Housing Preservation Grant (HPG) are ready for bid and that building-inspector reviews were completed to confirm code compliance. The board entered the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Income public hearing and heard Dysinger’s PowerPoint presentation; on a subsequent motion the Board closed the public hearing without further action required at this meeting.
