Crawford County adopts $7.18 million FY 2024–2025 budget

The Crawford County Board of Commissioners on Sept. 19 adopted the FY 2024/2025 General Fund budget in the amount of $7,184,633.00 after a public budget hearing. The motion to adopt the budget, moved by Commissioner Moore and seconded by Commissioner Kraycs, passed by roll-call vote with all present commissioners voting aye.
County Controller Paul Compo presented highlights of the General and Special Revenue funds, salary schedules and the General Appropriation Act, telling the Board that "the enabling legislation allows The Board to control the budget and outlines what can and cannot be done in the facilitation of the budget." The Board also approved the FY 2024/2025 Special Revenue Fund budgets and adopted the Elected & Appointed Officials and Non-Represented Salary Schedules by unanimous roll-call votes. The Board approved a resolution adopting the General Appropriation Act and directed compliance with Department of Treasury "Truth in Taxation" requirements. The FY 2024/2025 Position Control Roster was presented as an addendum; no separate action was required.
