The Board of Education voted to approve the district’s December 2024 tax levy, with the superintendent reporting a total levy without bonds of $17,412,300. The motion, made by Christopher Esposito and seconded by Tiffany Watson, passed unanimously 7-0.
Superintendent Dr. Wise noted there was one tax objection and recommended that the board approve the levy as proposed. The approved levy allocates $13,995,418 to Educational, $1,619,140 to Operations and Maintenance, $958,619 to Transportation, $323,623 to Working Cash, $209,419 to Municipal Retirement, and $306,081 to Social Security. Dr. Wise said, "The total levy without bonds was $17,412,300."
Board members did not raise amendments to the levy at the meeting; the approval follows the district's post-referendum budget planning discussed earlier in the superintendent's report. The levy approval was recorded as passed 7-0.
