Nick Rivas, host of the Rose City Report for Pasadena Media, announced that the Pasadena Tournament of Roses is now accepting applications for the 2027 Rose Court and described the role as an ambassadorial position for the Tournament, the Pasadena community and the Greater Los Angeles area.
"The Pasadena Tournament of Roses is now accepting applications for the '20 27 Rose Court Select," Rivas said. He noted applicants will be considered for a $7,500 educational scholarship and that first-round interviews are scheduled at the Tournament House on Sept. 5 and Sept. 8, with the 2027 Rose Court to be announced later that month. Prospective applicants were directed to tournamentofroses.com for eligibility details and application materials.
The announcement frames the Rose Court as both a community-representation role and a scholarship opportunity for students who demonstrate leadership, community involvement, academic achievement and public speaking skills. Rivas said organizers seek candidates from diverse backgrounds and that applicants must live and attend school full time within the Pasadena area community college district or one of several qualifying nearby communities.
