Supervisor reports: Sunmount properties pending, DEC mussel survey, and awards for Raquette Lake banner work

In his Supervisor's report, Clay J. Arsenault said the Town is waiting to hear from New York State regarding vacant Sunmount properties in Long Lake. The Town has requested a renewal permit for temporary stabilization at Jennings Park Pond; the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation informed the Town it has found "an imperiled species of mussels in Long Lake less than a kilometer from the project area," and the site will need to be surveyed by DEC before work proceeds.
KC Kelly of the Inlet & Raquette Lake American Legion Post 402 presented awards recognizing Alex Roalsvig and Michael Lamphear for their help with military banners in Raquette Lake. The Comprehensive Planning Committee met Feb. 24 and focused its discussion on housing. No public comment was offered at the meeting.
