Wagner said the county's current liability tied to that look-back is estimated at $840,000 while the Land Sale Reutilization Fund holds $546,000.
Wagner outlined planned next steps: sending letters to prior owners who may be eligible to file claims, posting notices on the county website and in the newspaper, and setting a claims deadline of March 31, 2025. She said Crawford County began foreclosing on tax parcels in 2004–2005 and therefore has comparatively larger funds available than counties that opted in later.
The board voted to accept the Foreclosure Sales Report and the Land Sale Reutilization Report by roll call.
