The Select Board approved release of a revised request for quotes (RFQ) for facility maintenance and associated equipment on Aug. 4 and asked staff to compile a vendor list for distribution.
Corey, who led the RFQ revisions with Doug and Melanie, said the group updated the document after a recent review. He told the board contract and build timelines make delivery likely in early next year and that the town can delay committing to purchase for a short time if necessary. Board members suggested splitting the plow equipment from the truck quote to accommodate manufacturers’ distribution rules. A motion to approve the RFQ passed unanimously.
The board asked Corey, Doug and Melanie to assemble a list of potential vendors and to return with a schedule and quote results; the RFQ release and vendor outreach will be handled by staff.
