The office is organizing new-construction records for valuation in 2026 and preparing neighborhood assessments in anticipation of applying the EQ for the 2026 assessments.
Killeen reminded residents that appeal season had completed in early October and encouraged people to call the assessor's office with questions about assessed values, noting that "You cannot appeal your tax bill; we can ensure your assessment is correct." He added that the Board of Review (BOR) will complete remaining 2025 hearings next week so the 2025 assessments can be certified to the clerk.
