Supervisor Arsenault told the Board that both snowmobile groomers have had repeated major breakdowns this season, making it difficult to keep trails groomed. He said grant funding may be available from the Fynch Pruyn settlement to cover most or all of the cost of one new groomer; the Board agreed to begin the procurement process.
The Board did not approve a purchase at the meeting but authorized staff to start procurement steps. Further action will depend on grant availability and procurement results; the Town will return to the Board with specific cost and financing recommendations.
