The West Central Area school board approved its consent agenda, accepting the resignations of Jenny Roket, district office secretary, and Taylor Lampe, middle school English teacher, and confirming two new hires.
During the meeting, the board invited the new hires to introduce themselves. Tammy Olsen, who will serve as the secondary secretary, said, “My husband Kyle and I are connected with WCA because we have had about 6 kids come through, and we have 6 more to go,” and expressed enthusiasm for working in the district. Jenny Gehrke, the district’s new MARS coordinator, said she has worked in daycare for more than two decades and is “looking forward to being out to school with everybody.”
Chair opened the consent motion and members voiced their support; the chair called for the vote and the motion carried. The personnel items were included in the consent agenda vote alongside routine business. No separate roll call tally was recorded in the public transcript.
The district will proceed with onboarding for the new hires and continues to show planned staffing adjustments in its personnel roster.
