Trustee Nancy Belt moved and Trustee Brandi Pearse seconded to adopt Ordinance 2025-19, "An ordinance amending Section 70-68, Division 1, Article III, Chapter 70 of the Code of Ordinances for the Village of Cherry Valley, Illinois, to extend the parking time limit." A roll call vote recorded five AYE votes (Belt, Neville, Hollembeak, Pearse, Kramer) and one ABSENT (Wedig); "Motion carried with 5 “AYES” and 1 “ABSENT”."
The change updates the village code provision that governs on-street parking time limits. Trustees did not request additional public hearings or amendments at the meeting; the board treated this as the second and final reading and moved directly to passage. The ordinance will be filed with the village clerk and incorporated into the municipal code as Ordinance 2025-19.
