Engineer Adam Bunge (CES Inc.) updated trustees on several infrastructure projects on July 14. He said he had received written confirmation from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency that the Well House construction permit "should have been issued the week of 5/26," and that staff is following up to obtain the agency’s official approval letter. Bunge reminded trustees that final well water testing will require retesting for radium and gross alpha prior to operating permits.
Bunge also reported progress on the CV 2025 Streets Improvements Project (work on the CVPD access road and shoulder restorations), Mill Road watermain replacement (exhibits for landowner easements across two parcels are being finalized), and the CV Sidewalk and Inlets 2025 package. A notice to contractors was to be published on July 14 and the bid opening was scheduled for July 25 at 10:00 AM. The minutes record that DPI paved the Well House access drive and that SCADA delivery/installation and well pump startup remain next steps.
Trustees approved motions to advertise for bids and to request CES Inc. assistance with an RFP for roof repairs at village hall; both actions were moved by Trustee Neville and seconded by Trustee Hollembeak and carried by voice vote.
