Coquille students recognized: four valedictorians, one salutatorian and program highlights

The meeting included student recognitions and school presentations. Four valedictorians and a salutatorian introduced themselves and summarized activities and plans. One student, Timothy Morkey, said he has been active in band and plans to continue music study at the University of Oregon: “I play trumpet, and I plan on continuing music by going to the University of Oregon,” he said.
Administrators also briefed the board on spring activities and successes. The FFA banquet raised more than $12,000 between the camp sale and the banquet; prom and the spring concert were described as well attended. Graduation dates and times were announced for Winter Lakes and other sites and board members were asked to RSVP for commencement ceremonies.
